Warming Immune Tonic

This is a favourite of mine during the cold winter months! This tea is perfect for those cold winter days when you're craving something light and warming. This tea will help strengthen your immune system and increase your circulation, which in turn will be slightly detoxifying and also warming.

Here's what you'll need:

  • Juice of 1/2 lemon

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • Chopped fresh, organic ginger. I like my tea to have a bite to it so I use a piece of ginger about the size of my thumb.

  • 1 tsp organic astragalus root (you can substitute any other immune modulator like chaga or elderberries)

Combine all ingredients in 500 ml of spring water. Set to medium heat on the stove and bring to a low boil. Let that go on for about 20 minutes. Cool and add raw honey to taste. Enjoy!
